He died at age 52 and is buried in Montgomery ILL at the Aurora Township Cemetery –near Aurora, ILL–in the year 1940. I was 2 years old at the time and my brother Robert Earl Melton was 6 months old. Our mothers maiden name was Mary Aline Rudder from Clay City, ILL. We have a close relative named Ruby Melton in Salem, Ill. She is in her 90s I believe. She knows a lot about the Meltons. I am still searching for my relations. Ruby Melton is now In a nercing home in Flora, IL. Although, I did try to visit her, but could not find her. I have not tried again.
