  1. First, I would like to congratulate you on the website\’s formadible work. I was impressed and was able to get a great deal of information which I did not possess before. My mother did a great deal of work on the Melton genealogy approximately 25 years ago as a present to me.

  6. I am the first granddaughter of Charles “Doc” Melton and Thelma Melton. They had 4 sons, William Edward, James Howard, Charles Ray, and John Michael. I am the oldest of 3 daughters from William Edward and Marion Richards, born in Kinder, Louisiana.

  10. I am the great-granddaughter of Archie and Maudie Jordan of Jordan Hill. I have a picture of Maudie taken in 1905 that I am having restored. She was 5yrs. old then. You have a great web site.

  11. I am a Melton living in the UK and am really amazed at the amount of Meltons there are in USA. My grandads name was Percy Melton and the middle name Beresford is common in our family, if any one knows of any links to us here in the Uk I would love to hear. pls email me at meltz1@btinternet.com

  12. I stumbled on this website by accident while looking for the surname McLaney. My great, great grandfather was Henry Clay McLaney and I think that I can tie in with your family after more research. You have done a great job and I commend you greatly. Thanks, Linda Davenport
